Popti & Beast is a Proper Free-Range Butchers, Takeaway Cafe, Deli & Fishmongers.

We've been serving the St. Werburgh's community with the best locally sourced meat, coffee, in house made cakes, burgers, pasties, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, brownies and a whole load more since 2017. 

​

Our ethos is local, sustainable produce.

​

All the meat in store is directly sourced from small, ethically run and maintained farms from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

​

Our head butcher Tom has spent years sourcing the best quality dry aged beef, lamb and pork from some truly amazing suppliers across the Southwest.

​

Our organically raised chickens have been a firm favourite with the local community for the past few years.

​

Breakfast time means fresh organic coffee from Extract Coffee Roasters, brioche buns filled with bacon from the butchers, free-range eggs and epic rosti potatoes. Vegetarian and Vegan options are ever popular, with spiced mushroom, spinach and homemade sauces.

​

Chef Leon Hughes has curated a fast becoming legendary burger menu - taking inspiration from some well known favourites, but with a Popti twist throughout.

​

Since late 2020, our resident fishmonger Liam has been operating our weekly fish market at the front of the shop. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays you can find the best local fish from Brixham and Newlyn, landed exclusively from small sustainable day boats guarantees to be both fresh and amazing on the plate.

Our Famous Pasties and Sausage rolls are available daily from the hot cupboard, get down early as they sell out quick!
